Gallipoli Non-Walking Tour

Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Scheduled flights from London Heathrow to Istanbul. Transfer to Gallipoli by coach to the Hotel. 
*This is a 5/6 hour transfer, all our vehicles are air conditioned, we will take a short snack/toilet break halfway through the journey. All vehicles are also fitted with WiFi and carry complementary water.  
Day 2
AM - We start the day with a boat trip around the beaches to provide us with an important sea view on the landings before lunch. 
PM - The afternoon starts at W Beach, Cape Helles. We see the cemeteries of Lancashire Landing and V Beach. We visit the site of Hunter-Weston Hill before arriving at the magnificent Helles memorial to the missing. We then visit Sedulbahir where the substantial Turkish defences awaited the men assaulting from the famous River Clyde.
Day 3
AM - This morning we concentrate on the Anzac landings and visit a number spots along Anzac Cove including, Shrapnel Valley, Shell Green & Ari Burnu we end with a visit to the high ground of Lone Pine to hear of the August offensive and its breathtaking views over the Aegean.
PM - Clinging to the cliffs above the beaches, we spend the afternoon charting the frontline held by Anzac troops. Intimate burial spots at Parade Ground Cemetery and Johnston’s Jolly join preserved trenches and memorials named after courageous and colourful Australian characters. After visiting the tragic site of the attack by the Australian Light Horse on The Nek we end at Baby 700.
Day 4
AM - The morning sees us follow the line parallel to Gully Ravine as we visit Pink Farm & the Eski line. We visit the private museum in Alcitepe (Krithia) before driving to the viewing platform atop Achi Baba to see the battlefields from a Turkish perspective, visits to Twelve Tree Copse & Redoubt Cemeteries we end at the Turkish entrance to Gully Ravine where we link up with the walkers once more.
PM - The afternoon sees us visit the French Cemetery at Helles, the Turkish monument dominating the entrance to the Dardanelles and the lesser visited Skew Bridge Cemetery we then visit the imposing Chunuk Bair Memorial where we can see the heights and the view over to Suvla and north Anzac as we learn about the New Zealand advance in August 1915 alongside the efforts of the new army battalions thrown into the battle just days after landing. We end the day at Embarkation Cemetery to link up with the walking group. 
Day 5
AM - After a stop at Chocolate & Green Hills, we spend the morning looking at the ill-fated Suvla landings in mid-August 1915. Beginning on “A” Beach we move to Hill 10 before we follow in the footsteps of the 5th Norfolk’s and uncover the true story behind the vanishing battalion ending at Azmac Cemetery.
PM – After a visit to 7th Field Ambulance Cemetery we have time to see any outstanding visits for people in the group before ending at Hill 60, the last battle of the Campaign. 
Day 6
Return to London via Istanbul.
